Typically this would be an "About me" tab, but I found that concept not to be such an appropriate title. It is difficult to tell you about myself, particularly because at this point in my life, I’m still trying to find out who I am. I suppose that I should begin by telling you about things that interest me. But there lies another difficulty, what am I interested in? Well, lots of things, baseball, wiffleball, films, music, books, reading, writing, relationships, romance, love, women, and people in general. But wait let’s get back to the point of this page: about me.
What about me? How do I begin to talk about me, or describe myself?
Well, yes--my name is Gregory. If you met me you would probably find out a lot about who I am
through your first impressions of my interests. But, I'm someone different to everyone. To
some, I am a friend, to others I am an enemy. To some, I'm an acquaintance, to
others a son, a cousin, an uncle, a nephew, a student, a teacher, a writer, an
American, a foreigner, a lover, a fool. There are many different labels I could
be given, and there are many different people who I could be. To tell you about
myself would be to tell you who I think I am to myself.
In the spirit of what I hope this blog to be, I cannot tell
you exactly about myself, or about anything, because that would be biased. Yes,
this is my blog, and it is naturally a biased affair. However, what I hope to do is give
you options so that you can choose for yourself what you think--about me, and
about the world. I plan to talk about subjects in this blog that I am
interested in, so that I can give you the opportunity to choose how you want to
define me. These subjects will be about what I am doing, about my
interests, and sometimes about me. So that is the best description about me that I am
able to give you.
